Today, Monday 2 April, is officially the day we move into the Feathers. Which means we might be too busy to post, but watch out for plenty of new info on the site as we get settled in. As you can guess from our new logo, we’re going to be focusing on food as much as drink, and we’ve lined up some excellent locally sourced ingredients for Rhian’s kitchen. Our new opening hours will be 11am-11pm, with food available throughout. So whether you’re a regular or trying the Feathers for the first time, please do drop in.
Next weekend is the busiest of the year, with the famous Hedley Barrel Race on Easter Monday after a whole weekend devoted to some of the country’s best Real Ales, including some local favourites such as Wylam Gold Tankard, top names like Crouch Vale Brewers Gold (CAMRA Best Beer in Britain 2006), and a seasonal treat in the form of Northumberland Easter Bunny.
Easter Monday is also a great day to bring the kids, as we have the annual Easter bonnet contest, egg painting, and last but not least egg jarping, which we are very excited about although we’re not quite sure what it is yet.
If all that isn’t enough to tempt you, look out for our Free Lunch vouchers, which will let you order two lunches for the price of one until the end of April.
