With live music from a harp and flute duo.  Creating a very special romantic evening.

Homemade Pheasant white pudding, puy lentils and a grain mustard vinaigrette a glass of Three Choirs English white 

Gratin of Salsify, celeriac and spinach, apple and walnut salad V a glass of Ana Sauvignon Blanc 2011 NZ

Main Courses 

Slow cooked blade of Hedley Angus beef in real ale with glazed onions, button mushrooms and buttered greens with creamy mashed potato a glass of Moulin a vent 2007 Des Hospices France

 Grilled North Sea Coley, heritage potato and cider with spinach chowder and crispy onions a glass of  Pinot blanc 2010 Dopff & Irion France

Roast haunch of local roe deer with dauphinoise potato, roast root vegetables and sloe gin gravy a glass of Pinot Noir 2010 Vila Mar Chile

Northumbrian Leek pudding with creamed cabbage, crushed heritage potatoes and carrot puree V a glass of Cotes du Ventoux 2010  Delas Rhone

Desserts

Dark chocolate torte with marmalade ice cream a glass of Elysium black Muscat

Pink rhubarb and custard tart with clotted cream a glass of Sauternes

Christmas Wreath Making

Make your own wreath this Christmas

Come for morning coffee and cake, see a demonstration of wreath making, before enjoying a two course lunch. With guided assistance make your own wreath that you can take away.

 All materials will be provided, including new American wreath clamps which make the job so much easier. The day ends with hot mince pies and a glass of wine.

11am  Monday December  12th

Easter weekend 22nd -25th April

Good Friday 22nd April - Start of our Beer and Food festival with over 20 real ales.

Easter Saturday 23rd April - Farmers Market 12-3pm. Meet our fantastic suppliers. Outside bar and BBQ.

Easter Sunday 24th April  - Traditional Sunday lunches12-2.30pm. Live music and food served Sunday evening.

Easter Monday 25th April - The Famous Hedley Barrel Race, registration from 11am at the pub, race at 1pm.

Egg jarping, Easter bonnet competition, BBQ and more.

The Barrel race has three categories

  1. Adults
  2. Childrens
  3. Fancy dress

Prizes awarded to first place in each category.

First prize in Adult category is a 9 gallon keg of real ale!

Teams must consist of three members who must complete the race together and cross the finish line together.

Entry money goes to The Northumberland National Park Mountain Rescue Team.
