Summer Festivals 2010

A tasting tour round the vineyards of Great Britain, pairing delicious regional dishes with a cracking British wine. A great opportunity to discover the history of viniculture in this country and the modern methods now used to create some of the world’s finest wines. Make the most of this opportunity to try the fantastic Camel Valley Pino noir rose brut, winners of the international wine challenge gold award 2010 and winner at the Italian World sparkling wine championships 2010.

Bank Holiday English Wine and Cider Festival, farmers market and Summer fete

When: August 30th

The Feathers Inn will be hosting a Bank Holiday cider festival and farmers market with outside BBQ, games and competitions. This event is free to attend but if you would like to have a meal please book a table on 01661 843607

Feathers Inn Beer Festival

We will be showcasing local micro breweries.

Easter Beer and Food Festival

Easter is a big event here so don't miss the fun and frolicks at the Feathers.

Good Friday April 2nd - Start of our Beer and Food festival with over 20 real ales on offer all weekend. Our eminant judges will be sampling the beers in a blind judging.

Easter Saturday - Beer and Food festival continues with a farmers maket at the Feathers Inn 12-3pm. Come and meet our fantastic suppliers and buy some yummy treats. celebrating our fantastic local produce.

Easter Sunday - Traditional Sunday lunches12-2.30pm (booking essential). Public invited to vote for their favoutire beer in the people's choice competition.

Easter Monday -the Famous Hedley barral race, egg jarping, easter bonnet competition, BBQ and more.

At the Feathers Inn Beer and Food Festival we have over 20 real ales, from local breweries, large and small. Hand-pulled or straight from the barrel, there will be an ale or cider to suit every drinker's palate.

Easter Monday sees the annual Famous Hedley-on-the-Hill Barrel Race. Teams of three competitors will once again struggle up Billy Fail’s field carrying a barral, before making a dash for the finish line at the Feathers Inn in an attempt to win the prize. Don’t miss this unique local event. With traditional egg jarping, a children’s barrel race, decorated egg competition and the Easter Bonnet parade, it looks like being lots of fun for all the family – and a great day out to boot.
