The Northumbria Food & Wine Festival is an exciting annual event designed to bring producers, kitchens and suppliers of some of the finest dine and wine experiences in Northumberland and the surrounding area, together under one roof. We aim to offer you an exciting experience where you can taste many wines and learn about their production and pedigree, enjoy fabulous dining opportunities through our pop up kitchens and sample and taste high quality product. Good Friday April 6th - Start of our Beer and Food festival with over 20 real ales on offer all weekend. Our eminant judges will be sampling the beers in a blind judging.
Easter Saturday - Beer and Food festival continues with a farmers maket at the Feathers Inn 12-3pm. Come and meet our fantastic suppliers and buy some yummy treats. celebrating our fantastic local produce.
Easter Sunday - Traditional Sunday lunches12-2.30pm (booking essential). Public invited to vote for their favoutire beer in the people's choice competition.
Easter Monday -the Famous Hedley barral race, egg jarping, easter bonnet competition, BBQ and more.

Easter Monday sees the annual Famous Hedley-on-the-Hill Barrel Race. Teams of three competitors will once again struggle up Billy Fail’s field carrying a barral, before making a dash for the finish line at the Feathers Inn in an attempt to win the prize. Don’t miss this unique local event. With traditional egg jarping, a children’s barrel race, decorated egg competition and the Easter Bonnet parade, it looks like being lots of fun for all the family – and a great day out to boot.
