Tynemouth Food Festival 8th May

We inaugurates the Seaside SupperKlub @ King’s School Tynemouth on May 8th with a fabulous four-course  “A Taste of the Feathers” extravaganza. 

You will get the marvellous opportunity to experience in this one night only pop up restaurant the dishes that have brought chef-proprietor Rhian Cradock and his team such accolades as Great British Pub of the Year and Great British Gastropub of the Year. As well as ambassadors for the RSPCA promoting ethically sourced ingredients, their skills in seasonality and local sourcing have seen them awarded Northumbria dining pub of the year 5 times. This magnificent menu priced at £35 is a terrific way to launch this year’s festivities.

To start…

Pork Scratching’s

Rhian’s black pudding and apple sausage rolls

Scotch quails eggs

Bread and butter

Gilchester organic homemade sourdough breads, wild garlic butter and pork drippings with crispy potatoes.

Starter

Asparagus, duck fat, bread and St. Georges mushrooms

Local cultivated and wild asparagus, duck fat fried bread, creamed St George’s mushrooms, nettle and elderflower emulsion

Main

Ann Grey’s middle white pork,

Stuffed belly (stuffed with wild garlic and three corned leeks and lovage), slices of English truffle stuffed pigs trotters, crispy roast heritage potatoes, buttered sprouting broccoli, new season broad beans and peas, real ale gravy and apple sauce.

Dessert

Forced rhubarb, black caps, and burnt creams

Pink rhubarb and new season local strawberry trifles, Black cap puddings (sweet Yorkshire puddings with currants) and spiced treacle and burnt Northumbrian creams. 

Wine, real ale and locally sourced soft drinks bundles will be availble on the night.

Due to the nature of the space customers will be asked to share tables with other customers.
