RSPCA Good Business Award 2009

We are delighted to be able to anounce that we won an award for innovation at the recent RSCPA Good Business Awards 2009.

"Eachyear the standard of entries gets higher as more and more restaurantsand pubs realise that customers want ethically-sourced food," saidRichard Johnson, one of the panel of four judges in the food category,"In fact, with the introduction of the pub category, we were delightedto see that so many local pubs are committed to ensuring the meat theysell is ethically sourced.

Our innovation award winners werewell deserved: McDonald's for its long-term, continued investment, andsupport of research into animal welfare; and The Feather's Inn inNorthumberland, which offers innovative educational campaigns tovisiting local schools in an effort to teach children about animalwelfare. They are also committed to using every part of the animal andwere commended for their stand against food waste."
